Retired People's Home at Novo naselje is located in Novi Sad, Bate Brkica Street no. 17.
It was built in 1986, 1987, and 1988. The second and third phases of the facility were put in operation in 1989. The home disposes with 64 studios, 8 rooms with two beds, and 256 beds for stationery accommodation. The total capacity of this Home is 336 beds, 80 of which are for independent beneficiaries and 256 of which are for dependent beneficiaries.

Being architecturally modern and functional, the building of the Home at Novo naselje provides the accommodation services that could be characterised as high standard services. It disposes with accommodation for mobile – independent beneficiaries in suites and for immobile – dependent beneficiaries in rooms of stationery type, with the equipment that enables provision of health care, nursing and rehabilitation services of a high quality. Doctors, nurses, physical therapists and other staff are entrusted with the provision of these services. |

The involvement of social workers in the procedure of admission, monitoring, and termination of accommodation enables the beneficiaries and their relatives to go through all the stages of such an expert procedure in the way dignifying from the aspect of their age and specific characteristics of their personalities.
The kitchen disposing with updated equipment, with it skilled staff enables the preparation of high quality meals and offering of the same in the pleasant ambience of a dining room.
The richness of forms and contents of cultural-entertainment, occupational and recreational activities provides the beneficiaries with sufficient possibilities for creative expression and high quality way of spending their free time within the Home and outside of it, i.e. in the cultural institutions. The work therapists participate actively in realisation of these activities.
This is also an open type Home. The co-operation with the local population and organised provision of post office and banking services, as well as the existence of the Club for adults and elderly people within the Home contribute significantly to its modern concept.

The hairdressing services are there to complete the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.
Another characteristic of the Home at Novo naselje is the fact that stationery type of accommodation prevails and we could say that the capacity of 256 beds in such type of accommodation mildness only partially the growing needs of the citizens for such form of organised care. The building was constructed in accordance with the prescribed standards and without architectural barriers. Its modern lines, functional and aesthetic attractions make it the place of humane way of living.
