Retired People's Home at Liman
The Retired People’s Home at Liman is located in Novi Sad, in Fruskogorska Street no. 32.
It was built in 1973 and 1974. The Home disposes with 108 studios, 35 of which are of high standard type and 2 are rooms with one bed. There are also 4 high standard studios with two beds.
There are 38 residential units with two beds, 5 of which are of high standard and 1 is a suite with two beds. The stationery part has 14 rooms, i.e. 62 beds.
The total capacity of the Home is 254 beds, 192 of which are reserved for independent beneficiaries and 62 are of stationery type for dependent beneficiaries.

The Home services are provided in the building satisfying all the standard requirements for space, equipment, and staff. General and certain types of specialised health care, medical care and rehabilitation are services provided by doctors working in two shifts – one specialist and specialists working in the Health Care Centre who come as consultants, nurses, physical therapists and assistants.
The nutritionists and staff trained and incapacitated for such tasks take care of menus and meal preparation, which results with serving of tasty and energetically adequate meals.
The social work services enable faster and easier adaptation to the conditions of such type of accommodation and they imply the organisation of diverse activities and contents that make the life in the Home more active, safer and provide for its better quality. |
Once the existential needs are satisfied (accommodation, meals, care, and health protection), the assumptions (or conditions) are created for active and creative use of free time through rich contents that are realised with the assistance of work therapists. |

Numerous sections and contentual cultural-entertainment programmes make the life of more beneficiaries sensible and complete in emotional and social sense. That is why the contacts and communication among the beneficiaries are often with emotional emphasis. Regular hairdresser’s services contribute significantly to personal pleasure, emotional stability, and quality of life of the beneficiaries.
Special advantages of accommodation of beneficiaries of the Home at Liman are the vicinity of the river Danube and the most beautiful river beach along its course – popularly called Strand – the quay along the Danube, good transport connection with other parts of the city and all the conditions of the studio type of accommodation that are the closest to the way of life in one’s own home. |
